How to train a Black Lab?
“My Lab is a Male & 3 months old. My problem is he won’t poop & pee on training pad. He also tips water bowl over 3-4 times a day. This really get on my nerves. What should I do?”
First of all, the training pad. In my opinion, trying to teach a dog to relieve himself indoors is never a good idea and will only confuse him. For lack of a better way to say it, forget the training pads and teach him to go outside. Using the pads is only going to confuse him and teach him its ok to eliminate indoors. It’s very difficult, especially when you’re not able to be with the dog all day (which I’m assuming you’re not– even if you are able to be home all day, it’s still difficult), to teach a Labrador to differentiate between a training pad and the carpet/furniture/bed etc. If any of you readers don’t have another option besides the training pad, leave a comment below and I’ll find some information for you in that case. But I would try and avoid training pads if at all possible.
As for the water bowl, unless your Lab is just very clumsy, he’s most likely doing that for attention. Although I’m sure you don’t want to hear it, every time you clean it up (and interact with him in any way — maybe yell at him a little it ;-D), he’s getting what he wants. So only put a little water in his bowl and the next time he does it, pay no attention. Obviously if you have to get the water up right away, do it, but try and put him outside or in another room while you clean it up. He’ll learn pretty quickly that every time he tips the water bowl over, he gets to sit in the yard for a while without you.
Of course, you could always just get a heavier bowl.

You should probably…train your lab to pee/poop outside instead of on a training pad. It's alot easier that way. You need to take him out every 20-30 minutes during the day, especially after he eats or plays. Housetraining does take quite a bit of time, but he will catch on. Lots of praise & treats for going outside /on the pee pad.
As for knocking over the water bowl, If you dont already have one. Get one that is heavy, such as ceramic, metal..some of the bowls have a weighted bottom or something where you cant move it. (a rubber bottom). Or you can try and get one of the water jugs that looks like a water bottle/that drains into a bowl..and those are pretty hard to knock over.
good luck.

Take him outside a few times an hour and say "go potty". Also, when you are going outside say "let's go potty outside" so he relates outside to going potty.
As for the water bowl, labs love water. I had a black lab who would tip the water bowl over and then roll in it and he got in the bathtub every day and even learned to turn the water on. Get a bowl that has a suction on the bottom so it isn't easy to tip over.
Also, consider getting a baby pool or a sprinkler for him to run around in outside. Labs love the water and he will have lots of fun playing in it.

As far as tipping the water bowl…my male lab did that, too. He usually did it when he was bored and wanted to play. Is your puppy being left home alone a lot? If so, please reconsider keeping him. Puppies are a huge responsibility and Labs especially need lots of love and attention.
Labs are quick learners but ONLY if you give them the time to learn. Don't expect too much out of your puppy just yet. He is still literally a baby! If you cannot be there for him during the day when he is this young, then he will not adjust properly and may become VERY HARD for you to handle when weighs 3x as much as he does now..
If you are at home with him all day, you need to keep your eyes on him at all times. He shouldn't have the opportunity to knock over the water bowl if you are keeping a good eye on him. Remember, he is young..

I am a dog trainer as well as the owner of 2 adult black labs. I raised my male from puppyhood, and adopted the female about 4 months ago. She was loved very much before me, but her owners were not able to care for her during the day. Now at age 2 she is not easy to train and still acts like a puppy. She was too much for her previous owners, who said themselves they should have given her to someone who could be there 24/7 but they couldn't let go..now she has adult problems.

When you are shopping for cheap north face jackets is definitely one of the best brands to stick with. A lot of the time there will be a surplus of the cheap north face jackets because other people don’t want to pay that much for a jacket! This is why you can generally wait a bit longer and wait for the retailer to mark the price down before buying, because there will be plenty left to choose from. This is a good way to get cheap north face jackets online now.
